Rocky Mountaineer

The vacation of a lifetime awaits participants aboard the Rocky Mountaineer. The Rocky Mountaineer will take guests along the lush green fields of the Fraser River Valley, through forests and winding river canyons surrounded by the peaks of the Coast and Cascade Mountains, to the desert-like environment of the interior. Highlights include the rushing waters of Hell’s Gate in the Fraser Canyon and the steep slopes and rock sheds along the Thompson River. Scenery includes ranchlands, along rocky lakeshores, over high mountain passes and through the remarkable tunnels that form part of the rich rail history of the snow-capped peaks of the Canadian Rockies.

Whistler Alpine Excursion
Thursday, October 21st, 8:00am – 6:00pm

Travel to Whistler, one of North America’s greatest Ski and Outdoor resorts and co-host of the 2010 Winter Olympics and Paralympics. A deluxe motorcoach will take participants along the stunning Sea to Sky Highway which overlooks spectacular Howe Sound, with its striking views of the waterways and Coastal Mountains. In addition, guests will be treated to a stop at Shannon Falls. At over 1000 feet it is one of North America’s highest waterfalls. In Whistler, guests will have free time to explore the village or enjoy lunch at one of the many fine dining establishments the resort has to offer. There is also ample time to take an optional Gondola Ride to the top of Whistler Mountain. The park and forest surroundings offer wonderful hiking trails and bicycle paths.
Victoria and Butchart Gardens Excursion

Visit picturesque Victoria and world-famous Butchart Gardens. This full day excursion starts with a 90-minute ferry ride through the scenic Gulf Islands to Vancouver Island where there is ample time to admire the floral splendors of Butchart Gardens and explore Victoria's Inner Harbour and attractions. Enjoy a scenic drive into downtown Victoria and then explore the city center. Visit attractions such as Craigdarroch Castle, the world-famous Fairmont Empress Hotel, British import shops, Parliament buildings, Provincial Museum and other attractions around the Inner Harbour before departing on the adventure back to Vancouver.
