Canadian offshore regulators, which includes the Canada-Newfoundland and Labrador Offshore Petroleum Board, the Canada-Nova Scotia Offshore Petroleum Board and the National Energy Board, are delighted to host the Third International Regulators Offshore Safety Conference. Our goal during this third annual conference is to provide a setting for regulatory officials from all nations with ongoing or proposed offshore oil and gas activity, to gather and share experiences in regulatory approach and safety performance.
International Regulators' Forum (IRF) members will have the opportunity to participate in round table and panel discussions and to exchange an array of information on offshore health and safety issues. These discussions will assist the IRF in achieving it’s objectives of promoting best sustainable safety performance globally, of enabling an exchange of information among regulators related to offshore safety and regulatory practice, and will provide a network of offshore petroleum health and safety regulators.
